Obituary for Penny L. Zenker

Penny Lu Zenker Passed away August, 14th, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Penny and her devoted husband Ed Zenker created a successful life for those she loved. Penny was a strong and determined woman. She gave her best, tirelessly, to her husband, children, family, and friends. During her busy life she cared for her son, Eddie, who was seriously injured in his teens. Penny also had many careers during her married life, including manager and buyer of women's clothing for two stores, and designed and created flowers for Gibson's Florist. She was a gifted artist, whose talents included design and oil paintings. She owned and operated Spinning Wheels Skating Rink, and owned and operated the Roy Cemetery. Penny designed the interior of two restaurants and a sports bar. In addition, she was a member of the Board of Realtors for 37 years. Penny is survived by her husband Ed Zenker, two children, Shelly Mullen (husband Mike) and son Eddie Zenker, her two grandsons, Tucker Mullen (fiance Carmina) and Taylor Mullen, and her sister Mickie Kiesel. She was preceded in death by her sister Sally Racca. She was greatly loved and will be missed by her entire family. Services will be held at Fir Lane Memorial Park Tuesday, August 22nd, at 1pm. Reception will be held at Tacoma Country Club, 13204 Country Club Drive SW, Lakewood, WA 98498.
