Obituary for Linda J. Wight

Linda Jeanne Wight
September 18, 1950 – February 4, 2019

Born in Tacoma to Ralph and Betty Wight, Linda lived in the Parkland area until her retirement. Linda split her retirement time between Tacoma, Washington and Mesa, Arizona, with occasional stints in Minnesota to visit friends.
Linda enjoyed a long career as a teacher, counselor and student body adviser at Clover Park Technical College. She was instrumental in originating the Holiday House for students and their families. Linda used her knitting talents to make and contribute many prayer shawls for hospice in Tacoma and Mesa and she knitted preemie hats for her local hospitals.
Linda loved to smile and laugh while sharing fun times with family and friends. She was a very caring person who will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by sisters Sue (Michael) Westby, Pat Garrison (Jim Dunson), Nancy Gliege and lifelong friend Suzi Webb. Her cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends will hold her in loving memory.
