Obituary for Karen Teckla Stebner

Karen Teckla Stebner (nee Jocz) went home to her Savior on Friday January 12, 2018.
Karen was born to parents, Marion and Teckla Jocz on September 21, 1940. She met Carl Stebner, the love of her life, while both were attending the University of Michigan. Karen graduated from the University of Virginia with a Master in History and shared her love of the past by teaching high school.
Her life was dedicated to serving her Savior and helping others. Later in life, she went back to school and earned her Master in Biblical Counseling. With her degree, she helped set up a counseling program at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Through her counseling, she touched many lives, but she always encouraged her clients to focus and rely on God for strength and healing.
Karen is survived by her husband, Carl, her daughter, Vicki, her son, Cliff, 3 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She is proceeded in death by her parents and brother.
A memorial service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to attend and help celebrate her new birthday in heaven.
