MARCH 16, 2020

At Fir Lane, we recognize our responsibility to protect the health of those we are privileged to serve. We will continue to guide families, as we always have, in ways they can meaningfully and safely commemorate the life of their  loved one, while adhering to the guidance issued by federal, state and local public health officials.

Our staff remains vigilant about sanitation in all of our facilities and ensuring we’re all following recommended healthy habits, such as staying home when sick, washing our hands, and covering coughs and sneezes.  The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and our local public health officials have offered a lot of helpful guidance for business on this topic, which we continue to follow.

In accordance with the recommended guidelines for the CDC, we have adopted the following operating practices:

  • On-Site arrangements will be limited to three (3) family members.
  • We are offering expanded arrangement planning options through online, phone and e mail while continuing to meet the needs of the families.
  • On-Site ceremonies, visitations and graveside will be limited to 10 people to ensure that social distancing can be maintained.

While there is still much to learn about this virus, we remain committed to serving your family with respect and empathy. If we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us 253-531-6600.

We appreciate your understanding in this difficult times.

March 24, 2020

In order to comply with Governor Jay Inslee’s Stay Home-Stay Healthy proclamation enacted as of March 23, 2020 and in effect until April 6, 2020 unless extended beyond that date.

  • We will be closed to the general public, however our personnel will be available to perform essential functions, including:

Transferring deceased into our care 24/7

Furnishing information via the telephone

Completing arrangement remotely via e-mail, face time, phone and fax

Embalming of the body

Performing direct burials, inurnment/entombment of deceased

  • All funeral events and visitations are suspended until further notice
  • If arrangement can’t be finalized remotely, we will meet with family member in-person at our facility, but will be limited to the next of kin or with the person with the right to control disposition.

While we are taking critical steps to maintain the health and safety or our employees and everyone who comes into our funeral home, it is important that families also adhere to guidelines set by the CDC and local authorities to reduce the risk of getting sick and spreading the virus to others.

We are all in this together !!!!!
